A running club, swimming centre and children's football team are to share in a pot of cash being offered by a Lincolnshire firm.
The payout is the third made by the print and document supplier, based in Lincoln, which is offering the cash grants as part of celebrations to mark 40 years in business.
Birchwood Colts will use its £350 payout to help pay for a manager and coach to go through the FA coaching course.
The club, which has been running for 21 years and sees around 150 children a year join, says the management training will improve the players' game.
Chairman Andy Brown, 43, said: "If we as a club invest in our coaches it will help them deliver better coaching to the players and make the training and games much more enjoyable.
"It will hopefully bring the teams' skill levels up making them better teams to play against others.
Another sporting group, Witham Runners, was awarded £320 by Danwood.
The cash will help fund part of the £890 bill for hi-vis clothing, branded running vests, and ID capsules which runners will carry with them containing emergency contact information and membership cards.
The free running club, based in Witham St Hughs, was set up in September last year in a bid to encourage people to take up the sport within the safety of a group.
Michelle Mortimer, who set up the club, said: "The funding will enable us to take the group to the next level, buying equipment that promotes responsible running.
"This will give us a more professional appearance, while still allowing us to maintain the group's status as a free, all inclusive group.
"It will mean the group can continue to do what its mission dictates – be a free, fun and informal group.
The final award to the Friends of Jubilee Park (FoJP), based in Woodhall Spa, was for £330 to buy swimming kit to help teach youngsters how to take to the water.
A further £3,000 is still up for grabs until February.
The cash represents £10 for each of Danwood's 600 employees in the city.
Andy Brown, group head of marketing at Danwood, said: "We're confident that in selecting the Birchwood Colts, Witham Runners and Friends of Jubilee Park, many people in the community will benefit."
