Betting Performance from Last Week

Winners (Season Total Winners) – 12 (12)

Losers (Season Total Losers)– 4 (4)

We had a fantastic start to the season here with 12 out of the 16 games backed correctly last week! Let’s hope we can continue that high level of success over the rest of the season. Games shown above in italics were the losing tips from last week.

NFL Betting Tips

Three Notable Performances – Team

49ers claim second impressive road win, this time against Divisional rivals.

Fresh from earning a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Steel Town last week, the 49ers travelled to SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and laid a 30-20 beating down on the Rams. Two big road games, two big wins as this 49ers team seem to relish their role as many people’s Super Bowl favourites.

Mayfield and Evans lead Buccaneers to big win over Chicago

Many people thought the Bucs would struggle without Tom Brady this season, but two games in, the Bucs stand with a 2-0 record and with Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans gaining a real understanding, the Bucs look well set to be in the thick of things in a surprisingly competitive NFC South.

Steelers defense key as they defeat Browns on Monday Night Football

After losing last week to the 49ers, the Steelers could not afford to go two games down in their division to their rivals in the NFC North. They didn’t thanks largely to an immense effort from their defence which stifled the Browns offense and scored the key points to gain the win on a TJ Watt fumble recovery returned for a touchdown.

My god #Steelers offense is 5 quarters of the biggest embarrassment one could imagine. Complete opposite of the preseason. Couldn’t have looked better then. Couldn’t look worse now.

Worst Three Performances – Team

Bengals’ woes continue at hands of Baltimore Ravens

The Bengals were woeful last week on offense and in truth, they weren’t that much better against the Ravens this week. Joe Burrow’s niggly injury has thrown off his timing and the Bengals look a shadow of the team many felt had genuine Super Bowl ambitions this season.

Rodgers-less Jets offence toothless against powerful Cowboys

If the Jets fanbase had any misconceptions about how big a loss Aaron Rodgers will be at QB, this game showcased it for all to see. Zach Wilson threw three interceptions and struggled all day, admittedly against a brilliant Cowboys defense. Robert Saleh may decide to make a few phone calls this week to see which QBs are available.

Cardinals surrender 3 score lead to lose to Giants.

For three quarters of this game, it looked like the Cardinals were going to inflict another heavy defeat on the Giants. To New York’s credit, Brian Daboll engineered a fine second half fightback which saw the Giants come back from 20-0 at half time to win 31-28 for a much needed victory.

Three Notable Performances – Individual

WR – Mike Evans (Buccaneers) – 6 receptions for 171 yards and a touchdown.

WR – Puka Nacua (Rams) – 15 catches for 147 yards (25 passes on the season)

RB – D’Andre Swift (Eagles) – 28 carries for 175 yards and a touchdown, 3 receptions for 6 yards.

Performers of the Week – Week Two

Team – New York Giants(comeback 31-28 win @ Arizona Cardinals)

Offensive Player – QB Josh Allen (Bills) – 31/37 for 274 yards and 3 touchdowns

Defensive Player – EDGE – TJ Watt (Steelers) 2-2, 1 sack, 2 tackles for a loss, one fumble recovery returned for game winning touchdown.

Special Teams Player – Younghoe Koo (Falcons) – 4/4 FG (inc game winner), 1/2 XP

Rookie – Puka Nacua (Rams) – 15 catches for 147 yards set new record of 25 pass receptions in first two games of NFL career.
